Magic Water?

Lately, I have become obsessed with starting a skin care routine. For a long time using cleansers, toners etc did not interest me as I’ve always thought my skin is OK the way it is, no need to manipulate things. Fast forward three children and the everyday stresses of life, I can’t help but notice how much my skin is changing.

I love makeup but I hardly ever wear makeup if that makes sense? When I do wear makeup, I always look for the quickest and most effective way to remove my makeup at the end of the day. I have been using face wipes to remove makeup for a long time but I’ve always had to use a face wash straight after as the wipes never completely remove the makeup.

I have dry/sensitive skin so I avoid trying out different products due to fears of getting a reaction, however, I’m hitting the big 30 soon and if I want to keep my skin still looking as youthful as ever, it’s only right to begin some sort of skin care regimen. After reading many positive reviews on the Micellar cleansing water, I decided to give it a try and see what all the hype is about.

what’s my take on it?

I’ve been using Micellar water for the past 3 months now and I must say Garnier is literally winning with this water! I have not broken out or had any reaction so far and as mentioned in many reviews, it is very gentle on the skin. It just feels like putting water on my face, no stinging on the eyes and it’s been getting rid of everything even waterproof makeup (I specifically bought waterproof mascara just to try it out!) Having dry/sensitive skin, I was afraid the cleansing water would strip my face of all it’s natural oils but in all honesty, my skin does not feel dry or tight and I haven’t had to apply tons of moisturiser every time I’ve used it.

Would I recommend it?

I now understand why a lot of people have been raving about this cleansing water, it’s great! I am not by any means a skin care specialist but if you have dry/sensitive skin like me don’t be afraid of trying it out, it surprisingly leaves your skin hydrated and soft. I hope this cleansing water will continue to be a staple in my bathroom 🙂

I purchased the 125ml ‘one the go’ size Garnier Micellar Water on offer for £2.99 in Sainsbury’s supermarkets.

Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
