Reliving our best moments on the island of MALLORCA In August 2018.

We didn’t get off to the best of starts arriving in Majorca. We got on a very late flight and arrived around 11:45pm, which is way passed the kids’ bed time, so you can imagine the horror of 3 grumpy kids at the airport. In case you were thinking to go on a family holiday in Majorca, I urge you to sort out your travel arrangements from the airport to your hotel beforehand. We relied on getting an Uber/Taxi but we were not aware that there is a maximum capacity of 4 passengers per car, and as we are a family of 5, we had no other choice but to take 2 taxi’s.

Our hotel resort was in Alcudia which is 1 hour away from the airport (Palma) – please don’t ask how much we paid for the taxis, my heart still aches till this day! Anyway, we arrived around 1am and it took a while to find us on the system as we had technically missed the day we were supposed to arrive. Nevertheless, they found us and escorted us to our apartment.

We chose to stay in an apartment because we felt this to be the better option for a family of our size. There is more space for us to chill and enjoy our time and it also gave us the freedom to buy our own food & drinks to store in the fridge, as well cook anything whenever we wanted.

SeaClub Mediterranean Resort- Alcudia, Mallorca
A home away from home…

We stayed at SeaClub Mediterranean resort, which is very popular & extremely family friendly. The resort is so big you could get lost if you’re not careful – literally! It is very close to the beautiful wide stretch beach platja d’alcudia, (which we walked to every day) and there are numerous shops & restaurants of different cuisines to choose from close by. It is really the perfect location for families.

Everything we ate, we seemed to like so… no complaints!

We had almost everything we wanted in the resort in terms of entertaining the kids. There are lots of pools all around the resort for different ages, basketball, tennis courts and arcades. There were shows in the main restaurant area every evening for example, we went to quiz night & Disney sing along night, we were spoilt for choice every night! Although we had lots to do in the resort, we couldn’t leave without visiting the nearest waterpark!

Hidropark is a fantastic family friendly waterpark situated 10-15 minutes walk from SeaClub resort, with massive water slides, enough to keep the kids happy and occupied. Apart from the water slides, there is a golf course, inflatable balloons and trampolines! you really have to be there in person to appreciate this place. A lot of people may find the cost of entry too expensive (26 euros for adults – 17 euros for children) and I couldn’t agree more!

Apart from that, I thought it was really cool that a photogragher comes to take pictures of you all as a family inside the pool with a lei for everyone, I mean what a way to create memories forever!

We had a fantastic time in Alcudia, Mallorca, it is definitely a place we would travel to again. would I recommend it for families? absolutely, without a doubt. 2 hours 30minutes flight (from london UK) is perfect for the kids and obviously less stressful for parents.
