WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Herbs of choice – I used basil
- Wash tomatoes
- Core tomatoes
- Put tomatoes in boiled water, leave for 1 minute
- Drop tomatoes in ice or very cold water, leave for 1 minute
- Once tomatoes are cool, peel skins off
- Chop tomatoes
- Put tomatoes in a pan, add salt and any other seasoning
- Simmer for 5 minutes
- Store in glass jar
You can store your chopped tomatoes in the fridge and they can also be frozen to last longer using a freezer safe container.
