When it comes to pudding, yoghurt is a favourite in our household. It’s never missing in our weekly shopping or in the fridge, so when I came across the new children’s yoghurt Big Yogs from dairy company ARLA, I decided to give it a try.
what’s so special about this yoghurt?
Big Yogs is a new children’s yoghurt that combines fruits & vegetables in one pot. The main idea is to encourage children to consume more fruits and vegetables which obviously helps with their development. They are made from 3% fat whole milk yoghurt and natural fruit and vegetables.
There are four flavours available at the moment and they are, mango & sweet potato, strawberry & carrot, blueberry & pumpkin and raspberry & beetroot.
I was a little bit sceptical about the taste, raspberry & beetroot? hmm, to be honest, I didn’t think the children would like it so I was ready to chuck it in the bin but I was pleasantly surprised that it actually tastes lovely! Their favourite flavour so far is the mango & sweet potato (never in a million years would I think this combo would taste nice)
The pots are a good size too, not too big or small, I also like the fact that it has no bits. The only small downside is that the yoghurt is a bit runny which is a pain with small children, however, they still enjoyed it and asked for more!
We purchased our Big Yogs at Asda supermarkets, (4x110g) for £1.00 groceries.asda.com/…-yogurts/910002516075 but I believe they are also available in other supermarkets across the UK.
I think Big Yogs are great for children and we’ve given them a big thumbs up!
