My children love using their tablets to watch educational programmes, nursery songs etc mainly on Youtube kids. There is an ongoing debate regarding children and technology but in my honest opinion, I don’t believe screen time is bad for children as long as it is monitored. We have a rule in our house where tablets are only used on the weekends and for a limited time only, so the way I see it is that technology is not going anywhere so we might as well embrace it.
We are always looking for fun interactive apps for the kids so when the opportunity came to try out the KidloLand app, I couldn’t wait to see what it had to offer!
KidloLand is an award-winning children’s app that includes over 1000 nursery rhymes, songs, stories and educational activities helping to develop imagination & creativity. Here are just a few examples of educational activities it has to offer:
- Colours & Shapes
- Months & Days
- Letters & Numbers
- Weather & Seasons
This app is brilliant! I have never seen so much learning that could happen in just one app, the choices of learning activities are endless. From, ABCs to dressing up the Christmas tree, screen time has never been better for the kids.
All activities are fun & interactive so the kids are never bored and with vibrant colours as soon as you log in, it’s almost impossible to keep their eyes away. I would like to add that the app is very easy to navigate, my son who is 2 years old has no problems finding what he wants to do. His current favourite game is ‘chomping fruits’ where he has to put together the fruit puzzle so the little monster can chomp it up! He finds the chomping noises very funny and enjoys discovering different types of fruits. My eldest son was able to join in with a lot of the sing-alongs as he can read (he is 6 years old) however, he found many things too basic and quickly lost interest.
What I like the most about this app is that once you’ve downloaded all content, there is no need for internet connection for it to work. This is such a bonus when travelling with the kids, we all know how difficult it is keeping little ones occupied! The wide range of interactive activities will keep them busy and you won’t need to worry about wifi connection or running up your data.
I think Kidloland is perfect for pre-schoolers as it introduces them to numbers, animals, colours etc in a fun way. My 2year old is playing games about animals and colours without realising that he is putting in a lot of learning 🙂
I am very impressed with the app and would highly recommend it to all parents with children aged 0-5. If you are interested in trying out Kidloland, follow the links below to download it. The app is FREE to download and offers great free content and should you wish to access extra content, subscription packages start from £3.99 a month.
** I was given a 6 months subscription to Kidloland free of charge, however, all opinions regarding the app are my own and honest**
Do you have any strict rules for screen time in your household? I would love to know your views on children & technology…
Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
