5 Things I miss since becoming a mum

Hi Lovelies!

When we become parents our lives certainly change forever and although we love and are grateful for our children, we may not like some changes that occur.  Now that I am a mum of three little ones, I’ve been reflecting on some of the things I miss since I become a mum. Here’s my top 5…

1. Tidy home

on top of my list is having a tidy home! I’m such a clean freak and with three children, it has become almost impossible to keep the house tidy all the time. I will tell the kids not to have toys in the living room but of course, I will find them in the living room…..with toys all over the place! The only time I’m happy with the way my home looks at the moment is when we tidy up after the kids have gone to bed.

2. Toilet Trips

Going to the toilet uninterrupted is a luxury around here! Whenever the kids hear me going to the toilet, they suddenly want to go to the toilet as well or just want to join me. If for some odd reason I don’t remember to lock the door, better believe they’ll come sit in the toilet with me and wait for me until I finish my business!

3. Long telephone conversations

Long gone are the days where I would spend so much time talking on the phone. It’s so weird how my kids always want my immediate attention whenever they see that I’m on the phone! A thousand questions will be asked JUST when I’m on the phone.

4. Freedom of movement

I miss being able to leave the house unexpected, without a program. Everything revolves around the kids so I can’t just wake up and decide that I want to go and get a pedicure, so much consideration goes into “going out” e.g. where we’re going, is it kid friendly? how long are we going to be there for? the list goes on…

5. Sleep

I knew that I wouldn’t really get much sleep when I have children but that does not mean that I don’t miss sleeping! My children wake me up every night so I’m literally running on 4/5 hours of sleep every day (thank God for concealer) I’m very much looking forward to the days where I will I be able to sleep uninterrupted, for at least 8 hours…

Can you relate? what are some of the things you miss since you became a mum or parent? Feel free to leave a comment 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!

I can relate o! Especially that freedom of movement. I used to get a mani/pedi every 3-4 weeks. Now, for where? I miss my single life badly some days, not even gunno lie. ?

    I missed my formal body
I missed how spontaneous my life was
